Wasn't going to do it - but here are my 2005 predictions:

Aug 8, 2005, 3:15 PM

1) Will arrive exactly 12 hrs prior to kickoff for the A&M game.

2) Will consume the weight of a pony in beer before kickoff of game one.

3) Will ultimately take the leap of faith somewhere between home games 1-3 and pay the extra $2 per case for some Bud Light/Select and quit waking up on Sundays with a Natural Light hangover.

4) Will wear my 1987 Keith Jennings #87 jersey to at least one game (size childs large).

5) WIll consume 3 lbs of chicken fingers, 2lbs of BBQ, 500 sausage balls, 1 whole cheese log, 5 stalks of celery, a few carrots, 5 hamburgers, 1000 boiled p-nuts, 2 qts of mexican dip, 2 bags of tortilla chips, 100 little smokies, and of course some fried chicken at the USC game. (Also about 5 stadium hot dogs that I will not remember ordering).

6) Will decide to switch to beam and coke once the weather turns cold.

7) Will switch back to beer the following week once my liver (and stomach) remind me just how stupid it was to drink liquor at a tailgate.

8) Will take pictures of myself and friends in which non of us will recognize the other.

9) Will sing countless songs during tailgating without carrying a melody.

10) Will listen intently to the radio during tailgating to see if the Gamecocks are losing.

11) Will undoubtedly refer to a female passerby as "hot" in front of my wife, which will ensure me a weeks worth of sleeping on the couch.

12) Will almost get hit by someone's car as I leave a game b/c they had to "beat the traffic".

13) Will smoke about two packs of someone else's cigarettes.

14) Will smoke someone's nasty victory cigars.

15) Will accidently let a curse word slip during a game intended at the refs, that will get me a kidney shot from the wife.

16) Will learn to like the new uni's.

17) Will throw football at at least four of the home games.

18) Will wait to leave after the games until the wives/girlfriends have asked for the 10th time if we are "ready to go."

19) Will go to church on following Sunday(s).

20) Will love every minute of it, and miss it when its over.
