The Cold Hard Truth on the Rivalry

When the arguments end, the insults are over, and the war stories are told, Clemson fans are left with one point to make-FACTS

Fact-Dominance on the football field. 25 more wins head to head over a 100 year period. Higher overall winning percentage. Higher graduation rates. Lower arrest rates. 63-17, 29-7. National champions. Multiple conference championships. The list goes on.

On the other hand, when the arguments end, the insults are over, and the war stories are told, South Carolina fans are left pointing to their legendary coaches (but not their winning percentages at Carolina); their Heisman trophy winner (but not their horrible bowl winning percentage); their tailgating atmosphere (still trying to figure out how tailgating in a warehouse parking lot beats . . . well anything); and their so called gameday atmosphere (more fans show up for Gameday than hang around for the 4th quarter). What a coot cannot and will not point to in support of their argument is FACT.

Fact is, Clemson is simply a better football program. Better fans. Better kids. Better atmosphere. Better tailgating. Better place. Oh yeah, better RESULTS.
