The Clowney brou-haha was a well-timed misdirection play.

The SEC overlords see Clemson looming as the primary exterminator of their vermin-laden minions and opted to try this approach:

Get Clemson thinking about a game that isn't taking place for MONTHS, while their game against the mongrels is coming up in a handful of weeks.

Sons of Clemson, you have lost focus. There will be plenty of time to address the UCS circus and their big-top Clowney. Now, gather all your rage at the team that approaches, the team that truly deserves our emnity, the game that will have a lot more say in how our season goes.

Ignore the Capons. Beat the Dawgs.

Since they play UGA earlier. Clowney has reason to diss Boyd since he will likely be a main competitor for the Heisman this year. The winner of the rival game this year may determine which guy gets the Heisman trophy.

Dabo said it best in his first interview on the field after the game. My freaking QB grew up and made some great plays. I told them they had to step through that door and they did. Every time they knocked him down, he got back up and made a play!!!
