I was in the Stadium Saturday evening around 6:00 and saw

Jan 23, 2012, 7:40 PM

A player on the field all by himself working on his footwork. When I say he was working, I mean WORKING! I was in the WZ and he was in the end zone, but I believe it was Jay Guillermo. No matter who it was I can tell you this, nobody is going to want a piece of a guy with the work ethic of this young man! Saturday night....Great College Campus.....all by himself working on his game! Impressive!

agreed, but shouldn't the coaches be motivating the other players to do the same?once read somewhere that championships are won in the off-season or something like that.

No. Championships are won "next year." Tee hee...

Jan 24, 2012, 8:48 AM

Yeah, I wish there had been a couple more o-linemen out there with this guy. This coming season's success will depend greatly on the play of our inexperienced o-line. Coach 'em up, Caldwell!!!!

GO TIGERS!!!!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That is great to hear.

How does that work. Does it register numbers or just the ratio of TU to TD?

Honestly, if you knew, what would you do?***

Now that is one decision that I hope I never have to make.

Jan 23, 2012, 8:10 PM

TU for that one. haha.

There are all kinds on here.

I had 100% until someone TD'd a post where I said I stopped to watch the Orange Bowl in a hotel because I could not make it home in time in response to a question that asked what were you doing when Clemson beat Nebraska. Maybe we have lurkers who just enjoy having a heavy thumb.

Saw the same thing in a movie about Ernie Davis,

Jan 23, 2012, 8:19 PM

the Syracuse halfback who won the '61 Heisman and thought that's the kind of commitment that produces winners...a great lesson! I've always believed that the ability to excel in any endeavor is directly related to the willingness of the individual to accept the fact that there is always room for improvement...and to dedicate himself toward that improvement.

There are very few that can keep up with the elite.
Two that come to mind, are Walter Peyton, and Jerry Rice.
Very few could workout with them.

If Jay thinks striper fishing on Lake Norman is good...

Jan 24, 2012, 6:59 PM [ in reply to Then you would probably be interested in this write up ]

he is gonna LOVE Lake Hartwell. State record set from there at 60+ pounds with 20-30 pounders being common. Also, new trophy only area below Lake Hartwell ### in Lake Russell where 30 and 40 pounders are a dime a dozen. Bring grandpa down and hold on...after lifting and flipping tires of course.
