What came in my mail today....

this letter came today from the one and only Clemson University:
"Good news from Clemson! We have received a report from the College Board Search Service indicating that your SAT scores and high school grades place you among the best and brightest students in South Carolina. In light of this academic information, we would like to offer you provisional acceptance to Clemson University for the fall of 2010."
I am a happy kid!

...20 years ago I got the same letter, and I learned the phrase "D stands for Diploma."

In 1977, I received a similar letter. It said....

something to the effect,
"We have received your high school transcripts and SAT scores, and would like to offer you provisional acceptance into the Civil Engineering program at Clemson Unversity provided you first successfully complete the following trigonometry and remedial English class."

I live in Georgia so I don't think they conditionally accept people from out of state. I haven't applied yet so im just trying to see how I compare. I'm sure that if they already accepted him/her for the fall 2010 semester that his grades and everything are better than mine.
