What is 29-10?

Jul 22, 2010, 12:41 PM

Since it seems to be Open Season on coots (and our domination of the rivalry) today, here's my two cents. I was saving this for the week of our game, but now is as good a time as any.

The coots like to crow about their "beatdown" of Clemson last year 34-17. I'll accept that. It was an ugly game deserving a strut of the tailfeathers. Using 17 points as the measure of a beatdown, there have been 39 beatdown games in our rivalry's history.

Almost half (29) of Clemson's wins in this series have been by 17 or more points, compared to 10 for USuC.

In the last 40 years, Clemson has 13 such wins to USuC's 3

Excellent research. Coots suck.

Verry Nice!!! This also includes Dabo's first game 31-14

Coots seem to forget that beatdown!!! Dabo and OBS are tied 1-1 and 48-48. Dabo crushes the tie this year!!!

Interesting, but I feel we don't need to explain Clemson's

dominance. It's apparent. Even the most blind Coot knows it, and it kills them.

Which is why they strut like a rooster in a hen house....

when they finally slip-up and manage to mix in a rare win. They're going to fully enjoy it while they can realizing that it doesn't happen all that frequesntly.

It's the difference between the fans of a program with a winning tradition and the fans of a program based largely on failure.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Clemson fans tongue in cheek chanting:

"Rodney...Rodney" in 1988.

They were chanting "Todney"

in response to the "Rodney"'s the year before.
