Ryan Mottl - Good news / Bad news........

Hi all
First of all thanks to everyone who follows Ryan's career and those who do and those who know me will know how thrilled we are that he has asked for and RECEIVED his release from the Cincinatti Reds!!!
The down side of it is that he was picked up by The Pirates (no, that part isn't bad, lol) the BAD side is that after compiling a Minor League record of 35 wins and 22 losses throwing 491.3 innings, in 88 games, while striking out 408 and walking 144 with a ERA of 3.93. Bottom line is that these minor league numbers were compiled during full seasons at Low A, High A, AA, and a partial season at AAA. Well....the Pirates will be starting him out at High A Lynchburg, Virginia.
Somewhat of a joke, certainly a step backwards but we hope and pray that ditching the Reds organization will pay of in the near future.
If anyone might be near Lynchburg, I am sure Ryan would love to see you at the games!!

League since that is the league that the Myrtle Beach Pelicans are in.Hopefully and maybe if Lynchburg plays at the Myrtle Beach soon, I will try and get over to see him.Those sure were some good days with Ryan Pitching when it came to Clemson Tiger Baseball.Good Luck to him and I hope he makes it to the top outta the Pirates organization.
