Watching Practice!

Jul 30, 2009, 8:38 PM

I went by the Tigers practice field earlier today & watched Korn & Wade throw passes to about 7 different guys. These guys are looking real good. Timing was good & the catching was really good.
I felt so good that when I left the practice field, I went to the stadium. It was open so we went in & looked around. Walked from the West End Zone to Howards Rock.
When I started back I challanged my son to a foot race back across the field. I was doing great the first fifty yards, so I decided to kick it wide open & blow him away.
I guess at 57 yrs. old I should have known better, because the next 2 steps left me lying on the ground with 2 pulled hamstrings. I have been icing it down & gotten into the hot tub a couple of times, but I can tell it will take a while. Man is it painful! LOL
But I am still pumped about the upcoming season. I think the recievers are going to turn out OK.
"Go Tigers"
PS A little wine & some pain pills are helping some. LOL

A little father son rivalry on the Tnet. I remember the last time my dad challenged me to a footrace. I smoked him and we never raced again.

No really, I don't post often. I just read all these other t-netters comments most of the time. I post once in a while just to have fun, or make a point. It's fun!

I'm about to become a father, and the timing is just about right.......... I can only hope that on my 50th birthday I can race my son (God willing, it will be his freshman year) in the valley. I can't think of a better thing to do when I drop him off for his freshman year.
