love great basketball(and we were not this season).I pull for UNC and you guys as well.I just do not understand the hatred for guys like Hansbrough,Reddick,in football,Tebow. These kids work hard and have earned all they have achieved.I would love to have a Hansbrough or Tebow at UGA,myself.

Reddick didn't bother me either. Now I don't likeplayers like Paulus and their dramatic flops, but it's funny, I don't hear people bashing all great players on UNC and Duke. I think Lawson and Ellington are great players. I think Gerald Henderson is a great player (even more after busting that punk Hansbrough's nose )
Don't think there is anything biased about "hating on" certain players. So what if we do? They got plenty of love from the media and the ACC: PLENTY.

Why?
Apr 4, 2009, 11:16 PM
|
|
I get the hatred and I know that he gets a lot of calls. I know that he whines, especially this year when he has not had as many calls go his way.
All other criticism aside, he decided to stay for his senior year, he works hard and appears to be a pretty good guy off the court. I go to Clemson, but my parent went to UNC, so I was raised a Carolina fan and I know I have a bias. I just think that even with all the hate, it is neat to see a kid stay four years.

When he gets to the NBA and all of the other players are allowed to throw elbows the whole game he will fall into obscurity where he belongs.

Hansoffmebrough is the next Ryan Leaf. I might just take up watching NBA ball so I can watch him get his @$$ handed to him on a regular basis.

Yeah all 3000 plus points scored by TH is as a result of the refs..... He would be lucky to start for the USC Upstate if not for the refs giving him all his points.

Are 1500 of those points off free throws...

because I'll admit he's worked hard on his free throws and is good at it. He gets a lot of free throw attempts, a whole lot more than most players even though he plays just as rough as everybody else.

He sounds like Forrest Gump when he talks, he looks like a puffer fish (or inflatable doll) and he plays for UNC. Three strikes in my opinion.

Any coach would love to have a player who can get away with it like he does. A lot of times you have to teach it with him it just comes natural. Knowing when you can slip one in is very important on the court.

UNC looks good but there is still one more game. Any team that can beat UConn.has a shot at beating them. I agree that UNC is the best team but there is a reason they play the games.

In a sport with so many questionable characters, Hansbrough has actually won over my respect. As another poster said, he's a hard worker and seems like a decent kid. There are a lot of less deserving people that could have won this championship.
Regardless of how his NBA career turns out, he's one hell of a college player. Gotta give props when deserved.
