A sincere THANK YOU to Tommy Bowden ...

Thank you Tommy Bowden. For the things you DID bring to Clemson University.

In the 10-15 years leading up to your tenure, Clemson rarely if ever even got sniff from kids like James Davis and CJ Spiller.

Thanks to you, those kids not only visited Clemson, they signed with Clemson and they turned down mega-bucks in the NFL for the opportunity to stay in Clemson a little longer.

Even though you failed to accomplish a lot of the things you set out to do when you arrived in 1999, you gave us your best on almost every front while you were with us.

You left with class and dignity and a legacy of recruiting not only top players, but also top individuals.

Regardless of what may be posted on this and other boards to the contrary, Clemson University and Clemson football are measurably improved because you spent 10 years with us.

So, thank you Tommy Bowden and best of luck to you and your family in the future.

has done for Clemson University is either blind or refuses to see.

Tommy brought us to the precipice of our goals while doing it in an honorable manner. Although he was unable to reach the top, he put us one step away.

No he wasn't able to reach our or his goals, but he gave it his best and Clemson in it's entirety is a better school and football program thanks to him. As much as many of us hate him, he still loves Clemson.
