moment to actually understand the significance of what has transpired.
To wit: http://www.thestate.com/gogamecocks/story/611563.html?RSS=gogamecocks
Fellow Clemson fans....I'm really at a loss for words here. To quote Teddy Roosevelt, "We stand at the precipice...". Ignore this harbinger of doom for Tiger Nation at your peril.
Stephen Garcia is the one entity on this planet who has managed to come between cooter nation and the great ball sack. Everyone has seen the rumblings on the cooter board pitting The Visor against Achilles in some kind of Machiavellian drama fought over the hearts and minds of that wretched mob of miscreants who pile into the cockroach through bad times and worse, poorer or completely destitute, sickness and death. Yes...the sun has shown brightly on Gamecoot nation since the day He rode into town. Nothing has shaken their resolve. #6 to 6-6? Hardly. Back to back to Vandy? Pffft. But something changed this year. No it wasn't the extent of the Thanksgiving beating. There have been worse. It wasn't the magnitude of the collapse...it pales in comparison to the past. What changed was as subtle as it was poignant. Their #2 who should be #1 was being scorned by their savior and he was being scorned as punishment for their having doubted his genius. This presents quite the dilemma. Lines are drawn and sides are taken. The average cooter fan can naturally identify with a mullet-haired nare-do-well whose scrapes with local law enforcement involve public indecency and the like...who among them hasn't walked a mile in those shoes? What to do?
As Saturday turned into Wednesday, cooter nation grudgingly gave into their baser instincts and chose the tortured pupil over the ham-fisted taskmaster. They have embraced his shackled abilities as some kind of salve for the wounds suffered at the hands of their hated rival. Not only that, he will also provide the spark that will launch them once again to the top of the pre-season college football world...the genesis of this monumental journey set to take place in Tampa on the first day of the new year 2009 on the arm of this mental giant of a quarterback who, when not caught peeing in alleyways or vandalizing automobiles, has managed to come to grips with the notion of studying game film as a foundation for improvements in his on-the-field performance. Not just watching film mind you...any idiot can stare blankly at the screen while dreaming about running naked through the horseshoe with a fire extinguisher...but actually using this time to *learn* and *improve*. This is heady stuff.
I'm again reminded of the collective gush of cooter nation as they basked in the glow of the 2001 Outback Bowl victory...a quiet yet confident: "See you in Pasadena!"
I don't have to remind you that the 2010 BCS championship game will be held once again...at...you guessed it, the Rose Bowl. Coincidence? Surely you can't be that cynical?

I agree.
The linked diatribe in the first post is poorly constructed.

Had he not been getting in trouble and missing spring practice.Maybe just maybe he would know the offense. Its one thing to watch film and another to actually break it down.Coot nation is desperate.

Maybe, Maybe not. No way to tell.
He's a redshirt freshman. Few redshirt freshman qb's know the offense. Heck, there aren't many that go out and play all that well.

It's called sarcasm. More precisely poking fun at the coots and their fanbase.

You've all been warned

when the bids come out tomorrow and cooteru gets a so so Big 10 team (Iowa) in the Outback, the stage will be set. After they pummel them in typical SEC style...smash-mouth defense, big, strong-armed QB running roughshod over another hapless squad from flyover country, comparisons with fellow Floridian Tebow will naturally follow. The title run will begin.
2001 was just a dress rehearsal with Granny. It all comes together next year.
Battle cry of cooter nation 2009 - "See you in Pasadena."
