The more information I absorb about the facts surrounding MSU getting to host the super regional, the more angry I get! Besides Clemson being higher ranked and more deserving to host in every possible category, AND there are no hotel rooms ANYWHERE NEAR Starkvegas, MSU gets the nod! I don't care if the chairman of the selection committee didn't get to cast a ballot, you KNOW he has influence with the committee members! They even broke precedence from the same exact situation that occurred last year!
This C&P from today's article in the The Post and Courier, "No room at the inn in Starkville", is what really set me off!!!
"Starkville will not be able to accommodate most media members, including a contingent from ESPN.
Athletic department spokesman Mike Nemeth said earlier this week that merely securing 27 rooms for Clemson?s players and coaches was a miracle in and of itself.
A year ago, Oklahoma State was denied a super regional hosting spot even though it was a No. 1 seed. A livestock convention in Stillwater squeezed hotel space, and the NCAA told the Cowboys to hit the road.
Sounds like sound logic. But what happened to it in this case?
If Mississippi State has this much trouble finding rooms for the media and the team, then Tigers fans are in for a heap of frustration if they?re hoping to see this series in person.
Meanwhile, thousands of rooms within a 30-mile radius of Clemson will sit empty this weekend."
I'm not a lawyer and I didn't sleep at a Holiday Inn express last night, but I think Clemson has a strong legal case for being RAPED!

i just wish they would come out and say..."well clemson really should have gotten it but we wanted to give it to MSU so that's what we did"

I can go online right now and book a "reward stay" at the Hampton Inn in Columbus, MS. Usually, Hilton won't let you use points for rooms if the hotel is even close to capacity. So if anyone is looking for a room, check out the Hampton Inn. From what I understand, it's a 24 mile trip down an interstate to Starksville.
