Bad news for the Braves Starting Rotation

Mike Hampton will miss the 2007 season because of surgery to repair a torn flexor tendon on his left elbow. This is a different injury than the one that sidelined him last season because of Tommy John surgery.

The rotation will be fine. IMO, I'd rather have an innings eater like Mike Redmond on the mound instead of worrying 100 times a games whether Hampton's next pitch will be his last.

It's not like he's Cy Young.
