Today, my 10 year old grandson Zay, competed in his first regional Taekwondo tournament in Kingsport, TN. He took first place in sparring and first place in Team sparring.
I don't need to tell any grandpa's or dad's out there how I'm feeling on this beautiful Saturday afternoon.

How awesome!!!! Nothing beats seeing your kid/grandkid with a big smile on their face! I was feeling the same way today about my son. Scored 4 goals and had an assist in his lacrosse game. Nothing can top watching your kids compete…probably an even better feeling when it’s your grandkid! Hope he earns more medals in his future!

If Zay had won nothing, I'm just so proud of him going up there to compete for the first time.
Honestly, the salute brought a few tears.
Great kid, and funny too. He was giving us report cards last night. I received F for being "unsure of my age", but his Dad got an F for being "so ugly that he had to get married to mom in the 8th grade!"
