I want to share my newest song

with you guys. It's the only Clemson song I've ever written. I started working on it over a year ago. Half way through it I deemed it a failure but the last few months I started working on it again and making changes and got it like I want it.
However, I'm not sure if it's good enough to spend money on recording or just play for friends.
I figured Tigernet would be a good place to get feedback.
So here it is. Let me know what you think good or bad. Keep in mind it was recorded on an Iphone Voice Memos and has no professional mixing. There are a few places I'm off key lol.
Just looking for if it's a good song or not.
Warning: Has profanity. If you're offended by curse words don't listen to it. If it's good enough I'll record a friendly version later

a whole lot better than what i could do. Are you playing the guitar too? I also think its really good to just have been recorded on a phone and put together from there.

I've never tried writing any lyrics to anything but i imagine it either just comes to you or it doesnt

yeah I have about 7 or 8 songs I've lined up to record...it's all country stuff...
sometimes it comes and sometimes it goes away for a while lol writers block can be killer....

Lyrics and general tune are pretty good. I personally would like it better if it were a little more upbeat, fun, festive, etc. More of a party song you would like to play at your tailgate, maybe with a suck it Gamecocks for smaller ears! Anyway, nice job, better than I could ever do.

f#@k the Gamecocks has a much more natural sound to it. I could just say it over and over. It feels good. Just flows right off your tongue. Thats probably the strongest part of the song- like in Sweet Caroline when everyone yells "So Good, So Good".

Love country music and this is really well written. I agree though, it sounds like you're singing it slow and a little down about it.
Also, 'the hell with the gamecocks' might be better...they don't cuss in country music.
Great job, would love to hear a slightly faster up beat version.

I like the song, it needs a little work but has a chance to get some play amongst Tiger fans. I'm not offended by the F the Gamecocks line, but many would be and it keep the song from getting any radio play. Find another snub to the Gamecocks and save the F line for a live version.

I'm only "eh" on it. Some of the lyrics aren't that great (july 28, past media days?... the words need to bring up some sort of emotion in listeners).
Also too slow throughout and the tonality needs improvement.
Still, I like the topic and the effort.

hey man, just listened to it. I think it sounds really good. You could probably get a big crowd if you played that at your tailgate, although you might have to use a different word in the chorus so no one gets offended lol

A lot of you are requesting a copy of the song.
Just wanted to let you know I don't want to give out this version and this be the one that gets around because it is low quality. I'm gonna do my best to get this thing recored this week or next.
Some have asked about other songs. I'll get those put up on youtube soon.

By the way I'm a Database Administrator and Computer programmer. I don't play shows and I don't play for money. It's a hobby. If people want my songs I'll put'em on itunes. If not I'll keep doing ym thing and play for friends. No biggie...
