I would be shocked if Huepel keeps him on staff.

It is not uncommon to keep one or two assistants on staff when you get a new job, continuity recruiting etc.

But, it is highly unusual to keep an assistant on staff who wanted your job but didn't get it.

I dunno in this case though. He was hired very recently. I assume they either got him as an interim for the McInvestigation, or knowing they would go after an offensive minded coach.
