I read an article about the NFL's Rooney Rule which is a league policy requiring every team with a head coaching vacancy to interview at least one or more diverse/minority candidates.

If they made some backroom deal with Urban, Jacksonville may have bypassed the Rooney Rule although I don't think there is any real penalty for it.

franchise. Remember Saban and Spurrier in the NFL? Trying to run College schemes and getting their butts handed to them every week as well as getting their qB killed b/c they had no clue of how to put a team together for the NFL game.

I hope they don't waste 4 years of Trevor Lawerence b/c they're bringing in an experiment type coach. Trevor needs an NFL guy that already knows the landscape. There seem to be alot of good young guys that can do a better Job than Meyer. Meyer can't even last in college anymore. He had a cush job in an easy conference where all they have to do is beat Penn State or Wisconsin to win the conference every year and got too stressed to do that.

I don't know. Ol' Urban seems to be playing the game like some of the recruits. Show some interest and then back out. He seems to like being the center of attention.

There seems to be a lot of smoke around him being the coach and I read an ESPN story yesterday that said he’s putting together a staff.
