I was diagnosed with Metastatic Melanoma, Oct 13th, the day Dabo was hired as HC. My life changed so many ways. I was give the "feed the worms speech" in 2012. 6-9mos to live, sowhat!!!! Haha!
Still kicking! No toes in the ground. 49yrs old now and lost every retirement dime I ever saved to medical bills, keeping house, boat and suv out of foreclosure. That was a battle.
That said, October 13th, was 9yrs since diagnosed and 6.5yrs longer than they said. Now i have scars, radiation tattoo's everywhere as it metastasized throughout lungs, neck glands and into my adrenal.
That said, i would like to get a Clemson tattoo on back of my sgoulder

I'm curious, Does that mean all patients with that diagnosis will receive the new treatment or is it not widely available. I also wonder if the quality of one's insurance or lack thereof will affect the type of treatment options. TIA

Absolutely! Live like it’s your last. In 2005 I too wasn’t suppose to live to see my birthday the upcoming October. To everyone’s complete surprise, especially my drs I survived that scare to later be diagnosed with a treatable leukemia and then lung cancer. I’ve been off chemo meds for 18 months, which they said I would never be able to do and had cyberknife for the lung ca 2 yrs ago. As of today, with the exception of my lungs (pseudomonas/aspergillosis) I’m healthy. Did a little girls weekend to Savannah and got me a small tiger paw right below my bathing suit line. I was going for discreet, you should go for awsome.

Hang in there bro. You never know. I completed my chemo back in 2005 and I'm still here. If you check the bottom of your right foot, you'll notice there's no expiration date. Get the tattoo.
