hey grandpaw, what's fo supper?

here is pulled pork pizza, Pioneer Woman version. Except I couldn't find smoked mozzarella or fresh jalapenos. So substituting Hickory smoked Gruyere and jalapeno pepper jack, w/ some regular mozzarella. Onions caramalizing as I type. Side salad, some undetermined as of yet beer.
Whatayahavin'?

and Kolsch was the beer of that region. Always thought it was a lil too sweet, but drank tons of it.

A kolsch (imo) should not be sweet at all

s/b maybe similar to a lager, maybe a little more crisp, just a little more bite, but I’m sure some of the beer nerds here can tell me if I’m wrong. Clean and crisp is what I think of when I think of kolsch. It is one of my favorites.

slight delay. There was a safety pin stuck in the disposal.

the turning it from the bottom with an allen wrench trick got it loose, but not out. Had to yank on it pretty good, the big head part of the safety pin was down under the blades. The youngest lab pup was really anxious to help out while I was on the floor. Now having a Devil's Backbone 16 point IPA (9.1%) whilest I wait on Mrs No to get home.

HT fried chicken does not compete with Publix.

Caramelized red onions..,
Jan 22, 2021, 10:03 PM
|
|
In a twelve inch skillet, took out all but a handful and deglazed the pan with sherry. Threw in two fat minced cloves of garlic and a quarter stick of butter add are salt and pepper and made a sauce. Then sautéed a pound of peeled deveined shrimp and served it all with a spinach salad and a honey Dijon dressing.
