Given Joey's obvious problems with memory, confusion, coughing incessantly, forgetting names, losing his mask, walking into walls and doors, unable to talk without a teleprompter and hand-picking reporters who will ask soft questions...should he have a reliable COGNITIVE TEST before he's unleashed as the leader of the free world?
If the cognitive test is deemed to be a bit above Joey's capabilities, he could have a brain scan (which would show if there is anything behind that blank look into the abyss that so defines him). Or maybe a 'puzzle' challenge (suitable for 10 year olds)? I would even settle for a telepromptered questionnaire.
Seriously, aside from my tongue in check proposal ( ....don't you think he should have a cognitive test so that we can be assured that he's capable of carrying out the duties of the presidency? What bad for Americans could come from a valid cognitive test?
Serious answers please...skip the juvenile behavior..it reflects badly on the poster. That means you Carlsbad, 19B, Tody, spoontard,etc.

about relativity.
The point is that here in 2020, the man is gonna take about 3x as long to finish a crossword puzzle (if he finishes at all) than he did in 2010. Like I said, I hope they have the support structure in place to keep him pointed in the right direction.

I'd wager whoever he has running things will be competent. Just take a look at all the dinosaurs in Congress, and yes, Ronald Reagan even. Strong Thermos. Harry Byrd. All those guys managed to do a good and competent job long after senility set in.

That's one thing that is for sure, Trump was known for having one of the weakest staffs in US history by his 3rd year. Biden will be a pro. Trump was an amateur bullshyater and really just a self promoter and some people bought it. He was incompetent. Biden does seem old, but we are in better more stable hands, but that's not saying much. Let's just get 2024 and start over.

I don't think he's full blown falling-down dementia like many have implied, and he at least appears to be functional, but I'm not sure he's even at 75% of his cognitive peak at this point. I pray it will never cause an issue.

Don't think you can pray hard enough to avert Joe's impending demise. He gets worse by the day. This terrible disease does not regress, only worsens with time. His basement isolation since early 2020 absolutely advanced the disease. A lack of regular interaction and a near normal existence can accelerate the disease. His handlers did him no favors. It's obvious that they saw the early Alzheimer's and chose the least damaging route for political reasons. If they had put him front and center earlier he would have been 'canceled' months ago. Sadly, for obvious reasons, they're still keeping him from doing the normal things a president-elect should be doing..like having real live press conferences. It's very sad and embarrassing to watch it all.

Good grief, a new LOW for the board. Not one rational response, not a one. One of my my favorites: "the people around him will carry him through". And sadly, I think most of you agree with that! Are you kidding me? Will Kumala cover his press conferences since Joe is incapable of answering 'difficult ' questions? Who will discuss important issues with world leaders? Maybe a hiLIARy/ Kumala combo? Will he need an escort to keep from getting lost in the WH?
The irony is that by suggesting his staff will carry out the duties of the presidency, you're acknowledging that Joey is indeed seriously compromised cognitively, not too mention the criminal investigations swirling around him that will forever cloud his presidency.
THe denial on this thread is mind boggling. Mark this down: this dessicated, demented weird old man will NOT be president a year from today. He might be 25ed. He might wander off while chasing a squirrel. This old clown is a mess, and he's getting messier, and his manifest weakness is going to draw scavengers. The vultures are circling already.
