but Venables seems to want safeties being safeties and corners being corners.

I'm guessing the assignments and calls are so different that he'd rather have a less experienced safety out there than a more experienced corner moved to safety.

Charleston has the talent. He just has to avoid getting baited by the play action and stop and go patterns.
