Why do they want 2 SEC teams in the playoffs?

I guess so they can watch 2 sec teams get humiliated instead of 1. Neither LSU or Bama is winning the championship.

I’m guessing you never took a course on probability and statistics? With 4 relatively equal teams, winning it roughly 50% of the time does a lot more to promote “the sec is dominant narrative” as opposed to 25%. Seems so simple.

If there are two SEC teams in the CFP, it will be LSU & UGa (Dawgs beat LSU in the SECCG). Alabama, win or lose against Auburn, will be part of the TV audience.

I suppose we are lucky they do not want 4 SEC teams in the playoff---LSU, UGA, Alabama and Auburn. I am certain if the playoffs are ever increased to 8 teams, then, these 4 will automatically get in. (By then, they will want the gators as the 5th team)

mess around and have an SEC rematch in round 1. If the chips fall and two do get in they run a big risk of having 0 in the championship. Can't have that.
