Lol - now that's just mean!! But lol. I agree with those for Skip Wise. Tree was good too and Buckner. Davis as well. Jones out of Union was a big recruit when he came here. Michael was good. Billy Williams was a great one! Horace Grant too!

And after reading his post Clemson history, I’m not so sure it would be (wise) to say he was all that. He had a serious drug problem and never really made any kind of career in the nba. Therefore, I agree it is Horace Grant. Wayne(The Tree) Rollins should be considered also imo

Wise was indeed "all that" ... in spite of

Skip Wise was one of the best in not only Clemson history, but in ACC history in spite of his well documented problems.
He was first team All ACC as a freshman. The first one ever.
Those who saw him actually play for Clemson pretty much unanimously agree that he was our best player by a fair margin.

Skip Wise ran rings around Phil Ford as a freshman. I will also throw Vince Hamilton in to the discussion. Maybe not in the top 5 but one of my favorite players!

I once saw him in a game steal a ball under our basket, race the entire length of the court, and lay the ball up. He was dribbling and outran everyone on the court who was running to catch him.PS The best player I ever saw in the ACC was NOT Michael Jordan, it was another sad cocaine story, Lenny Bias in his last year at Maryland.

At Clemson?

Skip Wise For a player who played a full college career, I’d go with Tree Rollins.
In terms of long-term, I’d have to go with Larry Nance. He had the best pro career of any Clemson player.
