Fishing on the bottom with a dead shad I had in my freezer since last summer- not as big though , maybe 4 pounds. Then I caught my intended target- a 12 pound channel catfish- the bass was a real surprise

but soft plastics are still the best option when things get tough . . . this is when I could whip my club members handily . . . they never had the patience or the touch for soft-twitching a worm!!!

A friend of mine today said he caught a 55lb. Wahoo while fishing out of Georgetown yesterday. That's a good eating fish, and he'll share it with us all on Tue. at our local watering hole at Dudley's in S'burg.

He's a USuc kinda guy, but he's a great friend.
