They probably do, but they want to give the impression that there is MUCH work to be done. They want the team to feel the sense of urgency. Trust me, it is very motivational to the players, and it helps whip up enthusiasm from all us fans, as well.

For some reason I am glad that Chalk is, at this point, the starter. I liked his grandfather and have tons of respect for him, and I was hoping J,C. had that same "metal". Seems like he does. Though I am happy now, I want him to feel the heat from competition, and I want everybody on the team to feel the heat of the guy who is challenging them. Dabo is a coach who plays the best guy, no matter who they are. Really glad where we are as a program! We are built to stay, and we will be a factor for a long time, IMO.

I noticed that too. Is that a typo? Or did he convert to TE after Galloway got probation?

OK yeah they switched him. I found the video on YT from Tigernet and CDS says they switched him from LB to TE in the spring.

I think you may have been going for tongue in cheek, but the phrase is actually the same "mettle." Go tigers!

Great about Ngata but a bit disappointed he didn’t immediately single out a defensive player as standing out and being like Ngata. We could use some D studs that are standouts... kinda like he used to talk about big dex.
No worries on offense, they’ll be standouts... but it won’t matter if they can’t get the football.

back in the day. Playing football on a lumpy field??? You ought to try fielding grounders at shortstop! Good times!

A sandy, briar laden field in August makes you tough.
