Poor kids. I wonder if they even realize UNC is supposed to be a place of learning and not a pro sports facility. Doubt it. At least they chose the real Carolina.

1993. Because they said it did. The shame they have brought onto the conference is unprecedented because it gets at the heart of academic integrity. UNCheat has none.

what is it that makes you so much more credible or objective, than US News, Forbes, Kiplingers, etc...?
what is it that 'everyone' knows that they don't?
sorry, but an academic scandal that affected less than one-tenth of one percent of the academic hours earned during the time period falls far short of making UNC's "entire identity as an institution... a scam"
but it probably makes you feel better to think that?

institution in NCAA history. Couple that fact with its unending efforts to tell the rest of us how they do it "the right way" and so much funnier is the downfall. Add the pathetic stone walling that has gone on over the past several years and...well, you couldn't write it any better. The school is a joke.
"An academic scandal that affected less than one-tenth of one percent..."
Great. Forfeit all your wins and relinquish all your titles from 1993 through...what was it? 2011? All of them. Until then, we are on the high road, and you're not welcome here.

No, it irks us that you get paid by Clemson to go online and blindly defend your tarholes. Seriously, does HR monitor this stuff? Are you on some commission based agreement? If not, you shouldn't spend so much time from 9-6 when most of your posts occur just defending a cheating fraud of an institution. This is Tigernet. I'm sure the UNcheats have a website you can go be a unc cheerleader on.
Unless you work for a PR firm and are lying about being employed by Clemson. I'm starting to think that's what's going on here.

There's a bit of melancholy schadenfreude that happens when a conference foe gets caught cheating.
It gets better when it's a program that constantly puffs its chest out about doing things the right way.
The "melancholy" goes away completely by the time you realize that this esteemed institution is actually stonewalling, scapegoating and hiring PR firms to minimize the damage rather than seeking to expose the problems and live the values it pretends to value.
The final nail in the coffin is when all the fans who have always been so proud of their reputation attack those who call them out, rather than those that introduced the corruption into their school.
So please keep defending your corrupt institution. It's exactly how we all like to see your entire program now.
Perhaps more details about how everybody does it or some more polls that say you're a good academic institution.

can a third party be truly objective when dealing with an institution that lies? A lack of academic integrity at an academic institution goes to the core. All data reported by this sham institution should be viewed with suspicion.

When the UNCheaters athletic department academic advisors knew that their "no classes for A's" was falling apart, they had all of their athletes tested for ADHD.
And, wouldn't you know -- 61 % of their athletes tested positive, allowing them to give them athletic and academic performance-enhancing drugs.
That's criminal, but that's what UNCheaters do!

A school that had widespread academic corruption in order coddle their beloved athletic programs for decades will be assumed to not be above continuing the cheating when no punishments of any severity are applied. Honestly, stop for a second and think about it. Why wouldn't they? I mean if you can create entire fake class structures to keep athletes happy and able to play and when caught no real punishments occur, then why would you stop looking for another way to do the exact same dang thing?

UNC is an embarrassment to the ACC. Great history but the arrogance and delusion have gotten to be too much. Take your punishment like a man, at this point the school can not deny their guilt. They are doing the scared politician move, see who you can buy off and try to blackmail everyone you can about everything you know. We can thank Hillary Clinton making these tactics everyday norm. Now every politician uses them, that's all Swofford is, they might actually be the same person.

You do realize no one thinks UNC is a bad school with a bad education for 99% of their student base, right? What is ranked in those publications is just that.
But don't get all pissy when the jokes come rolling in about your school when they create fake classes and degree programs for the benefit of the relatively small group of athletes (when compared to the student body at large).

Until punishment for setting up an array of fake classes to coddle athletes is made public and appears sufficient to discourage it happening then why would anyone assume that it isn't still happening or more likely that it just moved to a different arena of academic misconduct?

To coaches, alums, fans, etc. has stuck with the "everyone does it, it wasn't that bad, no one knows what they are talking about, this will all blow over" and whatever else they think is good for recruiting and bragging rights. We all know they cheated. Its best that they stay this way. If they showed remorse and accountability, then they wouldn't continue as a "fraud" but that's what they are.

as well that wear the blue proudly - as they should. many many athletic depts do exactly the same thing or skirt the system. just because swofford is a ##### and treated clemson horribly, does not reflect the feelings of the admin, staff, or students. to bash dean smith is the equivalent of bashing danny ford, imo. they both should be highly respected for their contributions to each university, community, and fans.

Thats great, I have many friends that are alums, and some family, and they are not at all ashamed and they deny any wrongdoing. Its baffling; these are intelligent, well adjusted members of society that are normal until anything that involves UNC athletics or academics are concerned and then they put the blinders on.
