So, is impeachment like having a bunch of people say you did something, but haven’t proven it in court?
Wow, how proud the Dems should be for voting on emotions.

Well it’s not a legal process, so they couldn’t prove it

Think of impeachment more as a process of firing the CEO

before his contract is up. It's not a criminal case. That's for others to figure out. But here there's stockholder proxies (the House) who send a request to the company's Board of Directors (Senate), with a recommendation that the CEO get the axe due to actions dangerously contrary to the company's best interests and stockholder value.
In this case that contract is nearly up, though this CEO still holds power which could, considering this very recent past action and a pattern of questionable behavior and state of mind leading up, irrevocably damage stockholder value if utilized in the wrong fashion during those remaining days.
This company also has a new CEO coming in, and will have many more to come in the years and decades ahead. It's big on precedence, as it is one of the oldest and most successful companies in the world, and it wants to keep it that way. The stockholders must send a message to all future CEO's that this type of behavior is fully unacceptable and, under most other circumstances, would certainly lead to the immediate removal and stripping of all future benefits that had been earned with dishonor.

Wonder if the CEO of Twitter could get the same for losing millions in a day.

If it becomes a pattern and stockholders begin to worry

about their long-term value than absolutely. Remember Steve Jobs? That Uber guy? Founders and CEO's get moved out often. It's business. Nothing personal.
