To late for the National Championship...lol
They can rent southern arenas to play in or pick a northern dome.
Glad their playing for the kids.

I hope the ACC championship game will be on 12 December. Imagine the advantage of several weeks to prepare for a B1G opponent who has had to play 9 games in a row and then only have 1-2 weeks to recover and prepare for a semi-final.

Guess my calendar is different from yours. 8 games starting Oct 24 would put their championship game the 19th only a week after ours.

To me once they saw people wouldnt follow their lead and football was going to go on it was delay, obscure , mislead to stall. Then we can play fewer games and still get in because w are the almighty Big 10.

Doing the math. If they start on 10/24, then they have 9 weeks to 12/19.
Are they gonna try to play 8 games in 8 weeks and then have a championship game in the 9th week? Talk about unrealistic!
Are they gonna play 8 games and then just declare a champion?
Are they gonna play seven games in 8 weeks and then have a championship game?
Are they just gonna say, "Ohio State is the best team in the country, so you have to put them in the playoffs"?

I don't understand why they can't start earlier. 5-1/2 weeks to get ready?

Yeah really hope the Playoff Committee doesn’t let them in. I want my favorite team to play the best competition but it should be on a level playing field. Clemson could potentially play 12 games while ohio state (just for instance) plays at most 9. It isn’t fare to ACC, Big 10, or SEC that they play at most 9 games. Should be a at least 10 and preferably a conference championship game under your belt or no dice. Like others have said what happens if teams can’t play like VA vs VT?

Don't be silly. Football and every other sport is about television money and of course ESPN wants the BIG10 in.

Nothing has changed in the last month between them canceling the season and announcing a return other than the backlash. They thought all the other Conferences would fall into step with them and cancel and when that didn't happen they got left holding the bag with the PAC 12.
They should've spent all Spring and Summer forming a "Committee" putting these protocols into place instead of twiddling their thumbs and assuming everyone else was going to panic and cancel too.
I hope they play and OSU still gets left out of the CFB Playoff!

if it is determined that the 4 major conference champions will make up the playoff teams since the committee would not be able to fairly choose because of unequal schedules.

Chief Infection Officer? They're playing for a Nobel prize not a CFP
and btw, we need to take nominations for a CInO in Tnet. I will judge not!

Their protocols are obnoxious. It’s like they still don’t want to complete a season.

What a bunch of idiots. I guess the powers that be decided if they can't shut it down then they will set the bar at a level it has no chance of success. Heads should roll.

This is what happens when you put liberal pinheads in charge of anything. They destroy it. What a mess. Did you see all those bureaucratic hoops those guys have to go through daily? What a joke! Ayn Rand was right! I feel sorry for any player who is attempting to play at any B1G school.
Hey all you recruits out there..........DON'T GO B1G.

If they really follow all these requirements I bet half the games will not be played. So, if Ohio St only plays 4 games (and their best player is out 21 days) do they still get in the playoff? Is he still eligible for the Heisman Trophy?
