This is not a complaint, but we have failed with the Covid as a nation.

ND's stadium is pretty full. FSU is pretty full. Wake will be empty. Some people wear masks out at night. Some don't. I went to a bar last night that was packed. 80% without a mask. We should just admit we can't come together and just open everything up completely. We need to be real with ourselves. This is not a complaint. It's just an observation. Who are we kidding?

There were always be issues with compliance, but entities are simply insulating themselves as much as possible from being liable for others.

Its just odd that Wake can have only have 500 and FSU can have 19,000. Its pretty varied for the country.

That's neat and all, but it's counter productive to fight a virus is all I am saying. The virus doesn't understand state lines. I say just open it all up.

No but they are more than welcome to stay home or do whatever they have to do to keep from getting it. Sorry if it sounds insensitive and i may get it and die but I'm not living in fear of what might happen. I might wake up tomorrow or I might not. Life is a chance everyday. If you don't want to take chances stay home and hope a plane doesn't crash into your house.

Agreed. Everyone should do what there lives can handle. If you’re worried stay at home. We only get one shot at this life. Gotta enjoy it while you can.

I am just saying they have a good amount of people sitting near each other. Wake wont have anyone. There are a lot of people at ND. We have Stutgis, Protesters, bars, political rallies. It's just an inconsistent system. We should just admit that we can't do it and move on with masks and just open up.

I agree. The thing is, the virus knows no borders. It makes no sense for Wake to have no fans. We would have to do the same things as as a nation. I think we are just wasting time and should just open up.

We are open in SC, as much that makes sense. Thats all we should have a say in.
While I don’t agree with North Carolina governor’s decisions I don’t think we should decide for them. They made that bed, it’s theirs to lie in.

Is it really that much different than any other Wake game? Also, all of this coronavirus is bs! Mask, no mask, social distancing or whatever, we have done the same amount as any other country around the world. None of the other countries did any kind of magical sanitization act and made their coronavirus go away! The only thing different is we tested more plain and simple!

This proves nothing. If masking is a priority then don't go to a bar. You can't drink through a mask.

It's really weird. I know quite a few people who have had
Sep 12, 2020, 5:15 PM

covid and some have been pretty sick. A couple of them were elderly and were hospitalized, so I know how serious it can be. Personally, I wear a mask and try to practice social distancing. All of that is pretty much out the window where I work, however. Our company has about 35 employees in our location, and there is ZERO attempt to practice any social distancing whatsoever. It would be impossible in that environment anyway. Nobody is required to wear a mask, and only I and one other person ever wear one. I have been in contact with at least 10 regular customers who have had covid, and none of them wore masks, and there was no social distancing. The actual number of covid infected customers I've been in contact with must be at least 3 times that. Same for all of our other employees - constant interaction with unmasked, undistanced customers. The constant interaction with each other, working in extremely close proximity to each other all day, every day ... for the entirety of the pandemic. After all of that, only one employee has had Covid (and it wasn't me). He's a 64-year-old overweight guy who eats junk food and gets zero exercise. His Covid experience consisted primarily of a bad cough for 2 weeks. Again, I'm not a denier, I know it's real and it's dangerous, but my experience does not square up with a virus that is going to wipe out all of humanity.

You’re exactly right...we do not have the discipline to do what needs to be done to minimize the affects...and this is one of those things that anything less than all in doesn’t work...just open it up and let who dies ... die... do thing something g like this half #### is just as bad...we as a whole and as a nation simply have a lack of discipline...the rioters have a lack of self discipline...the people who think it’s a hoax or somehow it’s infringing on their rights have the same amount of lack of self discipline...In summary...most people on both sides of the equation are simply selfish and wrong yet neither see themselves as that way!!! It’s sad Iah...it’s really really really sad...but it’s the truth...just open up and let who dies...die!!! Might as well!!!

I think we have taken note of the impact of this virus on our society. We’ve seen the numbers. We have lived with the lock downs.
We have made a decision to get on with life without the hysteria and fear.
For the relatively healthy under 60yo, this was never a disease that impacts us. We know that now. I am thankful my kids are back in school and we are back at work.
I am the son of an 82 year old greenville man who lost his battle to the virus.

We have failed over the China virus. We need to make China pay but we will not especially if Biden gets elected. We should not pay our debt to China because of all the money lost during the Virus lock down. It should be about the same amount.

We are finding out a lot about human behavior, risk tolerance, social influence, and the tension between desire for a fulfilling life and a casual kind of existential nihilism.

We will need a 10-year investigation after this COVID thing runs its course to find out what happened. There's a lot that does not make sense about this virus. Either authorities know and are not telling us, or they do not know.
My son (in college) had it. My wife and I spent two hours with him and his girlfriend (who also had it but neither knew at the time) at dinner (no masks) and my wife spent two more hours with my son the next day (no masks). And, she accidentally shared straws with him. Neither of us got it.
I've seen zero reports of any hospitalizations of college kids. Lots of reports of cases, but zero reports of serious issues.
I am not a conspiracy-theory person, but am starting to wonder...
