Clemson will not play FSU this year - here is why

All it takes is one school's medical lead to decide against playing a game.
Traveling on buses/planes/hotels/restaurants/new places is riskier than staying home - Agreed?
Clemson medical lead decides that forcing the team to travel to Tallahassee now a second time - when Covid cases are likely to be even higher - is not worth the risk and we elect to postpone the game.
Boom move on . org

I actually hope we do play them. I'd like to see us build our streak to 6 games this year, which would also pull us to within 6 games of them in our head to head series. It'd be nice to see us continue cutting into that series lead.

I say we don't play them. We don't need to risk injury before the ACCCG. The "Holes have nothing to lose - so of course they wouldn't mind some dirty hits on our Tigers. Like Dabo says, we were there, they had options to change day and game time, but no, they wanted no part of having their butts kicked all over the field.!

I am interested to see if not playing the game would impact our television revenue or not. I'd say that it most likely doesn't hurt things if a game is truly cancelled due to COVID. I'm not sure though how that impacts the contract situation if we simply refuse to reschedule. My guess is that if the television revenue is potentially impacted that the ACC will get involved to try and work out a deal for getting the game played. Whether that means playing in Clemson, having FSU pay for all expenses, or at least having FSU share in the cost of expenses is obviously unknown.
