The term “snowflakes” seem to be common these days

To describe the fragile people, especially the young. I’m not wanting Andrew Booth to be kicked off the team. Dabo will take the appropriate actions and administer proper punishment. That said, those that throw out the sentiment “ they’re just 18-19 year old kids.” We are free today because 18-19 year olds went to a number of wars. Today, we are giving these kids a pass on responsibility for their actions therefore creating another snowflake.

I never want to equate any sport to actual war, and that is not my idea here.
In saying that though, I'm sure that some of those 18-19 years olds who fought for our freedoms also had lapses in judgement from time to time.
Just because responsibilities are different doesn't mean that the psyche has changed from infallible to fallible for young adults.
A lack of effort or persistence or even failure to accept criticism are all fair accusations of how young people today may have changed, but in all reports we have heard Mr. Booth did not struggle in any of those areas.
He simply lost his temper and made a mistake at the time.
It appears he is accepting the consequences that follow like a man.
