I'm more concerned about Elliott adjustments for DJU

I fear that he will go "sugar-free vanilla" and not let the guy show his true abilities against BC. We have too many weapons & tools to dive left/right and bubble screen ourselves into oblivion. If a game plan was in place for TL16, then I'd stick with at least 80% of it for DJU.

I don't think I'd be worried about Elliott. I'm surprised you're not concerned about DJU elevating his game, which is always a recipe for losing.

Is not so much how DJ handles the physical skills that he needs to be a successful quarterback in this his first start BUT how he handles the mental pressures that he will face in this game. Will he be cool, calm and prepared to win this game? We know he is a very big guy with great throwing and running skills but can he be the player to lead the team to a very big win? Trevor has that “it” favor but DJ has yet to be tested. This will require a lot of input from Coach Elliot to keep his rookie QB in control of the situations he will face from the Eagles. I have a lot of confidence in the staff. They rarely let us down.

The offense has to remain threatening for it to work. Tigers turned the ball over at Tech by Trevor and Travis hands. Don’t be afraid to make a mistake and trade away chances for big plays. Main thing is the OL and RBs need to help DJ out in protections and not give up negative plays. I can think of 4 guys who can take it to the house if BC makes a defensive mistake. Maybe 28 points is enough to win this one.

DJ Is Going To Make This Game A Statement - He Is Ready!

I expect some jitters and bugs but I have no doubt at all that he is very talented and ready to take this on. We are very fortunate to have him and he should have our confidence. As to the coaches - yeah, they go this.

I'll be shocked if there are many intermediate and long throws.
