New rankings - another snapshot - another swipe at the ACC

I know - weekly rankings. What could mean less? And why complain if we're #1?
But if you delve deep into them - why so much seeming disrespect for the ACC and gushing praise for others?
Look at the AP & the Coaches' - and their Top 25s - even include any team that received a vote - the ACC trails all Power 5s and at least one Group of 5. You have to wonder why SOME teams are getting votes at all.
THE AP TOP 25 (By conference)
SEC: 6 teams (5 in TOP 10) BIG 10: 6 teams PAC 12: 5 teams BIG 12: 3 teams ACC: 2 teams
AMERICAN: 1 team MT WEST: 1 team INDY: 1 team (ND)
[Good question at this point - why is MICH still in top 25 at #20?]
AP EXPANDED (40 teams receiving at least 1 or more votes)
SEC: 8 teams PAC 12: 8 teams BIG 10: 7 teams BIG 12: 5 teams ACC: 4 teams AMERICAN: 4 teams INDY: 2 teams (ND; Army) SUNBELT: 1 team (AppSt)
THE COACHES' TOP 25 (By conference)
SEC: 6 teams (5 in TOP 10) BIG 10: 5 teams PAC 12: 5 teams BIG 12: 3 teams ACC: 3 teams (Wake #24)
AMERICAN: 1 team MT WEST: 1 team INDY: 1 team (ND)
[Good question again - why is MICH #20 in THIS poll too??]
COACHES' EXPANDED (45 teams receiving at least 1 or more votes)
PAC 12: 9 teams BIG 10: 8 teams SEC: 7 teams BIG 12: 6 teams AMERICAN: 5 teams ACC: 4 teams
MT WEST: 3 teams INDY: 2 teams (ND; Army) SUNBELT: 1 team (AppSt)
Just saying - - to make the "Top 40" or "Top 45" - - a team (in either poll) has to get at least 1 vote. So only 4 of 14 ACC teams get even 1 vote? My gosh, according to the voting, even SMU is ranked #28/29! And Tulane, Hawaii & Navy are better than 10 ACC teams (according to the polls).
And what about CU? If the trend continues or worsens, especially when the CFP Committee starts voting - do we become like UCF?

Have you watched the ACC this year?

The supposed 2nd best team needed all 4 quarters to beat Old Dominion yesterday. VT is bad, Miami is bad, FSU is bad, Cuse is really bad, BC got blown out at home by frigging Kansas, NC state got drug through the mud by a really bad WVU team, UNC lost to App, GT got beat by the citadel.
Who do you think should be ranked? You could probably make a decent case right now that only 1 ACC team deserves to be in the top 25.

My take is the ACC is extremely weak this year, and Clemson has the easiest conference schedule I can ever remember -- even more one-sided than Danny Ford years of ACC domination.
As long as Clemson beats playoff teams, it is what it is. But pull for UVA to beat ND in South Bend this weekend. It could happen. The rest of the league is lousy. Accept it.
And remember the New England Pats have played in the worst division in pro football for 15 years. Buffalo, Miami and NY Jets are gawd awful. And the Patriots are doing just fine. Go Tigers!

West Virginia had it made in the big east but left for the big money. We should be thankful for this year and next year. We will hear weak ACC but we could add 2 more National Championships if we continue to win in the ACC an in the playoffs.

Repeat after me..."The Only Poll That Matters is The CFP"

This has been covered millions of times.
The polls are biased, we all know this! The ACC sucks right now, we all know this!
The SEC and Big Ten always get the benefit of the doubt, even when they suck. When the ACC has actually been good the media is always late to the party and only acknowledges it after the bowl season over. For 2-seconds. Then January rolls around, preseason polls come out they rinse and repeat the cycle again.
Who F-ing cares????
Clemson is winning Championships. Cry me a river. We have nothing to complain about.
