Tigers are good but giving up 400+ yards to UVA was a bummer. Our defense is good but not there yet. Something tells me that Venables will cover the ground by Jan 19th. That said Bama was smooth and a threat.

defense that does not seem to be up to "Bama" standards.
So, are you saying Mac Jones is a better QB than Trevor Lawrence? In two games, Jones has thrown for 684 yards in 51 attempts. That equals 13.41 yards per attempt for the season.
Trevor, in three games, albeit only 8 quarters due to the blowouts over Wake and The Citadel has 848 passing yards on 75 attempts. Trevor's yardage per attempt 11.30. So, there is only a two yards per attempt difference between Jones and Trevor.

Taking that Bama usually has one of the best O-lines in the country covered in 4* and 5* talent that could help Chase Brice be one of the top QB's in the country. Actually if Chase played behind this Bama O-line, he would probably get appointed the Heisman.

I wouldn't have them #3 ahead of Georgia, but who the hell do YOU think is good? Give us your rankings, man. It's so easy to say "XXXXXX isn't a top 5 team" or whatever, but nobody that says that stuff ever follows it up with their own top 5. Where would you have Florida ranked? Show your work so we can have a legit discussion.

to UF 36-28 in the Orange Bowl, a couple of weeks after Clemson had beaten UVa 62-17.
But hey, ESPN is all about the SEC, and they control the narrative. My guess is the first place votes with be split pretty heavily with Alabama, in part due to Herbstreet's comments.
Nobody wants to comment that UVA has 17 starters back this year from last years team. We have six new starters on offense alone.

Yawn..EVERYONE knew Alabama would be ranked #1

After the played two games without a loss. UVA would be a top-20 team if they were in the SEC.What is really going to suck about this year is that the SEC will get at least two teams in the playoff and possibly three. The ACC champion will have to be undefeated, same with the big12 and PAC10. The Big10 champ can get away with at least one loss...maybe.

I said we would have to score a hundred to stay No 1. We will see what AP does. Did Bama look beyter than us, maybe. If UVA was Top 10 and A&M not ranked, who would be No 1? I would like to see one of these computer ranking go back at the end of the year and put ACC teams in order of finish at the SEC preseason spots and vice versa for the SEC teams and run their programs for the actual game out comes week by week and compare at the end. I think that sr ould be interesting.

Who really cares where they rank these teams now?? All the Tigers need.to do is win their games and steadily coach these young guys up. Last night we played without Davis, Foster and XT on the line--Wow, add them into the rotation and what do we get?? The secondary has to play together and gel, when they do that they will he tough to pass on. Oh well, JMO.

Agree - got to write something at this point even if its meaningless. Miami looks to be for real and maybe no longer the JV team one of their fans told me we made them look like in the ACC Champs. This week will tell us a lot.
