but it'd be in his best interest not to say anything to remind the people of Houston about the trade.

Any explanation for why he got such a poor return

On Hopkins? Other than the obvious answer which is that BoB is a terrible GM.

The Vikings got twice as much for Stefon Diggs a day later.

What a sanctimonious pos.

Says the guy who traded away their best WR without even consulting his QB.

not get anything CLOSE to equal value in that trade. That's just a terrible GM and an embarassed owner in CYA collusion.

Have there been any issues with Nuk in terms of personality or locker room stuff?

This whole thing just sounds weird. I know we are assuming that the coach is the issue here, but could there be more to the story?

Gotta be more to the story. David Johnson is on the downside of his career. O’Brien and Nuk must’ve not gotten along. O’Brien should’ve made it work out. Traded the best receiver in the NFL for a guy that won’t be in the league 2 years from now. I honestly thought Johnson might get cut in the off-season.

I'll take that bet***

I've heard at least two really smart NFL guys say that

David Johnson literally had negative trade value.

He did hint it was about contract demands but all teams deal with that EVERY YEAR. If you're looking out for the best interest in the T E A M, you better learn how to handle issues concerning contracts, playing time, etc.

He is ridiculous. Clowney and Nuk gone -- crazy. I agree -- there has to be more of a story here. Does he WANT to lose?

I wish someone would take over his position and get both men back.

I see you’re point but don’t think that’s the case. It’ll be JJ Watts locker room as long as he’s there. It wasn’t Nuk’s. I just think (and the hard evidence is starting to be overwhelming) that BoB is a really, really bad GM.

He seems to be a sorry GM; I agree.

link

That is ridiculous reasoning, as he will lose DW also after

Posted: Apr 4, 2020, 3:39 PM

a year, as DW is steamed about the trade...and will have not as good year, and will lose value as a free agent...without his best receiver.

I'll take that bet too...Watson will stay in Houston for at

That was an unfortunate move for the Texans. I don't think Bill O'Brien knows wth he is doing. I am prepared to get raided with hateful responses here: Why did Nuk need a raise? I know he's the best WR out there (so if any WR deserves a raise it's him) but if he had not asked for a raise, would he still be a Texan?

Another note:
I get that Nuk is generous, but it makes a sweeter statement when the Press leaks of someone's generosity rather than a player. It seemed that Nuk tweeted about his own generous gift for Corona Virus relief. The press revealed Watson's gifts (to the nurses and docs). Nuk is still a great rep for Clemson, of course -- just a little less humble than he was a few years ago.

link

"less humble" where does that come from?***
