"Really need" makes it seem like it matters a lot.

It would help us a little if Wake is ranked when we play them, but in all honesty if we beat them like we should and they lose any of their other 3 games then they will likely finish unranked.

If they finish the season unranked then it won't matter what they were when we played them.

It just doesn’t matter. One game against Wake won’t help our SOS, and no way Wake gets any National respect.

The only thing that matters is Clemson wins out.

Unless I'm mistaken, if Wake loses, we've clinched the Atlantic.
If Wake wins, they "should" still be ranked next week.

So depends on which way you want to go on that.
As others have mentioned, it doesn't matter either way.

As Dabo mentioned, if we don't win this week, none of it matters.
