We either need Americans to start having more kids

or we need to bring in more immigrants, because Americans are having fewer kids than they ever have in the past. Choose one. 16 states are already seeing their populations decline. It's already basically free to have a kid if you're poor enough. This will mostly help middle-class families who are on the fence about whether or not they can afford to have kids. Also, to be clear, this is just an expansion of the already-existing $2000/year per child tax credit.

I would prefer fewer people on this planet

but our whole economy kinda depends on an ever-growing population. People in developed countries are not the ones having too many kids. That's mostly an African and Asian problem. Hopefully before too much longer we can start shipping people off to Mars and who knows where else.

12. The whole cyclical thing doesn't seem to be supported by the stats (see attached).
2. You seem to be causing your own confusion. The US population growth rate is way down (see attached again). The world's rate is going down too, but not quickly enough to stop our over-population problems.
The world's population is predicted to be 10 Billion by 2050.
There are a number of interesting charts here:
https://ourworldindata.org/world-population-growthWorld Population Growth When and why did the world population grow? And how does rapid population growth come to an end?

that he wants to repeal the $10,000 state and local tax deduction cap. The very people that preach to us that we need to pay more in taxes. Just not them, apparently.

Seriously man...can't we all get behind getting away from the silly nicknames, on both sides?
Not only is it stupid, but it pretty much negates consideration of your point from any reasonable reader.

I think you might have a screw loose.
You posted "Biden is going to do away with the Trump tax cut". You know that isn't what he has said...I called you on it...and you more or less agreed.
Then you come back with I'm a "fake Republican" and "if Augusta could see me know" BS. Not one time in this thread to I come anywhere close to saying anything of a personal nature to you.
And you wonder why people make fun of you on here and elsewhere.
Maybe it's time you decided to grow up?

I'm just pointing out that you are wrong...
Feb 10, 2021, 4:30 PM

and you are/were. He doesn't support repealing the tax cut. He has called for repealing part of it. I actually don't agree with him on that.
I'm not butt-hurt or angry. I know it doesn't compute with your way of thinking...I'm not pulling for Biden or trying to prop him up, I just believe in truthful debate. If you say something that I think is wrong, I'm going to point it out and list why I think it's wrong. It's the difference between team-politics and truth.
"Everything I said in my OP is true and based on facts and what is actually being proposed. You apparently got butthurt because you felt like your boy Biden was being attacked unfairly. OTOH, you have no basis for the $400k thing other than campaign speeches. Candidates never backtrack on those now do they? I also pointed out how that article said his proposed cuts would still affect lower income people."
No, sorry, but you're just wrong. You said Biden wants repeal the Trump tax cut. One one hand, you have no evidence or proof of that. On the other, I have what he has said and campaigned on. Outside of a bill being introduced with his support to the contrary, you don't just get to make up something and call it fact.
And tax changes that might impact lower incomes below $400k is not the same as "repealing the Trump tax cuts".

pockets. I fully supported the change and still do.
I'm not sure on the $3k child tax credit. I haven't investigated that too much. What is your opposition to it? As a general statement, the child tax credit idea is a conservative one historically and has been generated and increased mainly under GOP-led legislation. I think it started in the 1997.
It was originally non-refundable. I don't like that it's refundable...I know the current one is refundable, but I'm not sure when it started being refundable.

My answer is "no way."
Only prevent liberals from having kids regardless of financial status

What you are observing is exactly what the liberals are driving us towards. In their eyes, you don't deserve what you have, so the gubment has the right to re-allocate what you have to other who, in their eyes, have been treated unfairly.
What's crazy is the "unfair" treatment root causes are the same liberals who have been saying they will fix the problem for 60 years.
I'm also planning on running my taxes in pre-Trump mode, but have not gotten there yet...will report back.

Democrat tax policy will always punish the productive. That’s just how socialists think.
