Covid 19 bottom line = Liability

Aug 11, 2020, 7:49 AM

No one wants to be liable if a death happens. If they want to play, sign a waiver knowing that they waive the right to sue over Covid related death or injury. Like Dabo said, will not playing football get rid of the virus? The players are safer at Clemson than they would be anywhere else. They could still train, eat, and be in a controlled environment.

I believe all Clemson students are being required to sign that waiver (i.e., waive liability in case of death or other Covid-19 health consequences) in order to return for fall semester.

They also sign to acknowledge that they will receive no tuition reimbursement if courses go fully online.

Its too bad Pelosi and Schumer will not support the bill which provides immunity for liability. Guess their ambulance chasing lawyer donors said no...

Look at guidelines NCAA put out...it specifically states schools can't require players to sign a waiver.....trial lawyers flexing their lobbying power for sure

Somebody watching too much CNN and MSNBC. Covid does not cause death in 20 yr olds. Maybe 1 in 5 million. Better odds than surviving swimming in ocean or driving.

It doesn’t have to be death ... it could be tremors or etn or XT having long lasting effects with lungs, breathing etc and not being able to earn their full potential in the NFL
