yeah, because I know if that had been Clemson on defense I'd be livid too.

I can’t figure out what just happened? Are they trying to say Henderson interfered going into second? He literally ran straight to the base. I’m flabbergasted right now.

Henderson is/was running in a straight line.

Anyone who doesnt know what we're talking about....go watch that, that was a hose job.

Im serious, that might be the worst call ive sever seen in baseball.

so it seems there was a terrible call in baseball & softball

Yeah. Bad call. I’m not even sure what they THINK they saw.

I am here. The only thing I can come up with

is interference on the slide into 2nd.

And, the ump behind the plate ain't too good, either.

Henderson was safe too.... the 2nd baseman dropped the ball

Just turrible call. Didn’t even attempt a throw. He was clearly just tagged Henderson out and even dropped the ball. Not sure what the fudge they be lookin at on that shenanigans.

I didn’t see the play (watching softball)

But was the runner within the range of sliding to the base and did he not? There is actually a rule in place in NCAA that the runner has to slide when appropriate to be out of the throwing lane. I’m obviously not saying that’s what happened, but perhaps a possibility?

Im a baseball guy.... I know the game. Henderson did nothing wrong and it wasn't even debatable. The ump almost seemed to know he made the wrong call and just couldn't reverse it in case for embarrassment

again, haven’t seen the play

But per monte it seems I was right.

You are 100% correct. I forgot about that rule. It wasn’t around when I played.

Did Monte ask for a replay or for the umps to huddle or is that not possible ?

It’s a close call with the Braves infield fly rule in the outfield in the playoff game vs the cards

It couldn't have been the worse call if it is the correct call ....... which it was. Read the rulebook.

Lee said that the call was correct. Player is required to slide into the base. I have never heard that, but that is what he said.
As for the play in the softball game, it seemed to be ridiculous.
