We have the next Dexter Lawrence

I haven’t seen anyone as dominant as Bryan Bresee since big Dex. He is already a man amongst boys at his level and I could see him easily start for us next season. XT - Tyler Davis - Tay Tay - Bresee is my starting 4 come September.

Sometimes a man amongst boys is reason for concern , and in other times a celebration

Literally no clue why anyone thinks he's going to start DE. That literally takes away a playmaker off the edge and doesn't fill the void we've had at DT all year. He's 300 lbs he's going to play Tackle and maybe some looks he will line up DE but he will not be an every down end barring something like an injury. Myles Murphy/XT/Justin Foster/KJ Henry will be on the edge.

I agree for the most part since I think most of next year will be in a 4-3. I do think that with his quickness, he fits a 3-4 DE if Venables decides to throw it out there some.

It isn't a "if he can play DE" we're all aware he can, it's more of if our entire unit benefits most by him at DE. Which I think there's no way we benefit by him being DE more than him being interior.

As I said, I agree in a 4-3. However, if we line up with only 3 linemen, I want Davis in the middle at this point. To me in a 3-4, size is more important at DE than in a 4-3. In that case, I think it would be better to move Bresee over rather than off the field.

Not sure which spot he ends up at but with a 4.8 40 and 4.13 20yd shuttle, he can certainly play DE at any D1 school. If he can read/contain the run better than our current ends and get to the QB, he might see more time at end than some think.

Could be serviceable if depth wears down. CW42 played plenty of end as well one year because of that reason.

He's more than capable if we need him to that's without question, but I think our DE's are too good and too deep this year to think about needing our starting tackles (probably) to move to DE.

Agree, would take a catastrophe for him to have to play that role. Very high on ends this year as well

I think Venebles will move him all over and our rotations will be incredible with our depth now. Also have to fit Capehart in there and I’ve heard good stuff about Tayquon Johnson who might turn into a Dexter Lawrence type run stuffer.

Pinckney will start at DT beside Davis. XT and Foster at DE. Henry will get the most reps in the 2 deep at DE but wonder if MM can push Rudolph and Mascoll for PT. I think Bresee will get some time at DT no doubt. Gonna be a lot of comp there for earning some PT.

I see MM definitely pushing the starters for playing time. Has the size already. If he can set the edge and stay within the scheme (unlike some other highly rated ends) he’ll be out there.

Pinckney might come out of camp as the starter, but it won't take Bresee long to displace him. I also think Murphy will push somebody (likely Rudolph) for a spot in the DE 2-deep soon after the season starts. Tay Tay not likely to crack the 2-deep in 2020 ... certainly not a starter.
