Thanks to all of you who offered prayers for the tree climber yesterday. Here is all that I have been able to find out concerning the extent of his injuries:
1. broken right wrist 2. broken ribs on the right side (?) 3. broken vertebra (?) 4. broken femur several places 5. Internal bleeding
I was told that all have or will require surgery.
Thanks again.

He’s got 6-12 months of healing to do, if lucky, and $250,000 cost and a body that won’t be the same especially in old age.
Wish he’d had a safety line, but nether did I on a 8’ ladder and hitting concrete drive.
Wishing him & Family ultimate of compassion & empathy and the inner will-power to go the long haul for physical & mental healing.

When I was a youngster, I stayed home from school to watch a crew cut down some trees at my neighbors. The owner of the company accidentally cuts his line and fell 40 ft onto pavement.
The blood stain was there for years. He broke just about everything.
He lived. He still cuts trees and is well into his 70’s now.
Even precautions aren’t enough sometimes.

I know most of the details, but I do not think it is a good idea to say anything other than that he fell while removing a tree. He was quite high when this happened. I am positive that he has a long recovery period. I doubt he will ever be able to climb again. JMO
