This is real! Lost a good friend and Clemson fan yesterday..

My buddy was 39 and just married 14mos ago and had 2 young girls. He was a good hearted fellow, he was a smoker but it only took 7 days from diagnosis. No major health issues except was smoker and may have had beginning stages of adult diabetes due to weight but he was just a big man!

Gone too soon, just found direction and married for the first time! Prayers to his family and his father who is really taking hard!

Please everyone, you obviously don't have to be 70yrs+ and sick to get to be a statistic. This was in Summerville! No one is immuned, I have been very sad for 2 days and realized as a cancer survivor, it's time for me to be more serious, which I wasn't flippant but not as committed as needed.

Stay safe, prayers to all, please take it serious even if its just to save others and not spread even if you feel healthy!

Thank you! Just found out 2 more friends in Sville have it, both are in early 70s but they are both very healthy and doing well. Both are on backside of the bug.

Was told that bunch of people from NY and NJ flew and drove to coastal counties to rent houses to escape epicenter. Medical person feels like over 75% of cases came from people trying to escape in the last 4wks. Said there were multiple private flights bringing families down. Don't blame them for trying to protect themselves plus they have hospital space but it stinks that our state population pays these decisions.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your friend and for the hole left in his family’s heart. I will be praying for his family and his friends who cared so much about him such as yourself.

My favorite verses when a death occurs is John 14. May God give comfort to his wife and kids as well as his friends.

Praying for peace, comfort and Gods love To cover this family and all his friends now and throughout their life as they grieve. That’s way to young and fast to leave everybody with a loss for words an a huge hole in their heart, have mercy Lord. Praying this in The Name.

Scary to think of. I’m 43 with a wife and 4 kids. While I’m at peace with the Good Lord above, it gives me a little anxiety to think of leaving my 4 children and wife without a father/husband at this age. This hits close to home and I am truly sorry to hear. Prayer said for family.

Praying for all. You mentioned in addition to being a smoker your friend was also big or overweight? I have heard several doctors say being overweight is a hugh risk factor with Covid-19. Smoking and vaping as well.

Prayers for the family. I live in Summerville; is there anything I can do for a fellow Tiger’s family?

Just take care of yourself and family. I know 2 others in Sville that are positive CoVid. They are early 70s but appear to be coming fine. Just mention this as I live in Sville and it's obvious our town is far from immuned. My older friends were taking all precautions recommended at the time. Thankfully they are very active and healthy 70yr olds and say its been rough like a bad flu bug.

Stay safe friends!

Gone too soon says it all. For your friend and so many others. The pain will lessen over time. The memories will last forever.
