You just can’t fix stupid. Yeah the armpit of SC is closer to Clemson, or more evenly spaced out than Greenville

someone actually down voted this

You gotta admit that distance-wise Greenville isn't very

neutral. However, I lived there for 4 years and worked there another 5. I was always surprised at how many SCAR fans were there. Can anyone who was at Fluor Field yesterday say about how the fans were divided? I'm sure it isn't the perfect neutral site but I don't know of any other equally distant stadiums that could accommodate.

I don't think we're going out of state to play these games. I would hope it would be more likely that we play at Newberry College or Presbyterian than in Augusta.

That stadium is actually in North Augusta, so it is in SC.***

Nice stadium, and you can get in a short cardio workout by speed walking from your car to the stadium and back since the closest parking is 1/4 mile away.

This game should be played at Joe Riley in Charleston....period....all three games...no where else...every time they’ve played there it’s been standing room only....and it’s a split fan base.

The series should be played at either MB or Charleston as the neutral site and perhaps in Rock Hill/Fort Mill once in awhile, but Greenville is Clemson territory.

I don't think the coastal locations are very economical for

either team, especially in a sport that's already a money loser for us. I think they either need to stick with Greenville or just alternate years as host team. Does Spartanburg have a facility that could accommodate that game? That's still Upstate but a little more equidistant for both.

One thing I've noticed about everyone of the chickenbroadcasters is how often and how severely they verbally chastise the officiating at each and every athletic event. Apparently, the SEC is fine with their behavior---and I don't know if the broadcasting crews of every other SEC member behave similarly, but I'm fairly certain the ACC is strict about criticism of officials by broadcast crews.....at least they used to be

The color guy you speak of is their legend Kip Bouknight.

He is a stellar person and has stiffed Columbia bookies out of 10s of thousands of dollars. Great ethical guy and the face of their hall of fame.

That was Kip Bauknight. Yep. DUMB statement.

Saying playing in Greenville is a bigger advantage for Clemson than playing in Columbia is being an advantage for UofSC. If true, that is pretty sad for Cooterville.

If you stiff bookies and don’t pay then maybe he isn’t that stupid.

Re: i guess you're referring to the neutral site games scheduled for Spirit Park

Posted: Mar 3, 2019, 5:14 PM

Pretty sure that neither conspiracy nor fairness determined the host stadium of the 'neutral site' game in this series.

Fluor had offered the best bid before. DRad agreed to change, and Spirit offered a better bid than SRP in N Augusta or any other true neutral field.

The schedule is set up through 2022?? Just going by memory since it was discussed here at length last summer.

Sorry if Germans.

Spirit doesn't make any sense at all

Posted: Mar 3, 2019, 5:33 PM

That's literally less than two or three miles from their ballpark. Also, at least Fluor is in a great location for bars and restaurants before and after the game. Anyone from Columbia knows there is nothing around Spirit that you want any part of.
