Maybe he really loves Lafayette, I mean, the boudin is fantastic and Breaux Bridge has a crawfish festival every year. /s
It is weird he didn't take a job yet though.

They just said on bowl game coverage, not wanting part of that SEC West unless maybe it’s LSU I would guess. Smart move. Think an ACC job or SEC East job like Georgia is what he will wait for.

Auburn is a short term stint while Saban is still around

He’d be there for 4 years max . Mahlzahn actually had success against Saban and still got booted. Texas maybe?

He would be a good fit for VA Tech or TN.

Those would be better than Auburn or South Carolina IMO. Auburn is a terrible job because of being little brother to Alabama and the boosters.

I don't think you want to to coach in the SEC west until

Saban retires.

You don’t want to leave the South. We have the best football.
Decent jobs that will possibly open:
Tennessee Virginia Tech Pittsburgh Georgia Tech Kentucky??

Word on longhorns FB forum is they really want venables or Elliott. Nothing wrong with what he said. He loves where he's at and has a goldmine of talent in the area that gets passed over by the sec b12 schools.
In that respect, I'd like to see as others suggested, a separate non p5 CFP.

Billy might see himself as a Bama man. Maybe gonna be patient and wait a few years for Saban to hit the road.

That could be another 5-7 years. That’s a long time to wait at a small Louisiana college.

just trying to win one more Natty, however long that takes, and then he will hang it up.
Then those turribel Aflac commercials will get even worse.
