Christian Wilkins: Not your ordinary freshman
The recruiting process opens doors that might not otherwise be open, and Christian Wilkins took full advantage. After all, how many incoming freshmen get to call a university president to gain a better understanding of his vision for the school? Full Story » |

I could watch and listen to this young man all day! Great voice and just the right amount of poise. I remember watching the Under Armor game; when I saw this beast of a player block a kick, scoop it up and run 80 yards - untouched - to the end zone - I thought "Man, wouldn't it be amazing if we landed this young man"...
He was totally off my recuriting radar (and ESPN's); Clemson was not even mentioned as one of his choices. Several months later, when I heard he was going to be a Clemson Man, I honestly could not believe it!
It will be fun watching him grow - both on the field and off (I remember watching some of our players speaking during interviews as freshmen, and I love the progression that they made over the years - losing the "I means" and "likes" and "umms").
Coach Swinney does a great job in coaching these young men both on and off the field. It will be a real treat to watch this young man over the next few years.
Thank you Christian, for choosing Clemson.

"You know" ... he's a quality young man. He certainly deserves ALL our support, for the entire game.

Seems Clemson and their team are flying a bit under the radar. Thanks to Christian Williams and all the other great players just doing their jobs extremely well regardless of any national attention, or not. Go Tigers!
