Terrible. What does this have to do with Trump, politics, or Carlsbad?

Huh? Carlsbad says Trump supporters should be shot. This white guy, wreaking of white privilege walking his fancy dog down the street, is indeed shot. And he is shot by, according to statistics, two fellows that are ~90% likely to be Biden supporters. Maybe the shooting was a politically motivated hate crime or maybe it was a simple robbery by people in need and have nothing to do with politics. Or maybe these guys really like TNet and worship Carlsbad so they did his bidding.

Of course that's a smart-a$$ reply....Yes, it is indeed horrible and should point out outrageous it is to write things like "Trump supporters should be shot" or do you agree they should be shot. It makes me sick to my stomach, literally, to see this innocent individual gunned down and dying while his little dog tries to figure out what is going on...horrible. He graduated from college a year ago and had a girlfriend.

$200,000 bail is a lot, $12,000 not so much since they need to come up with about 10% of the bail money.

The prevailing environment for the past few years has elevated toxic rhetoric. The toxicity of rhetoric is amplified by social media, and through social media many people buy-in to “Concept X” because they believe “everyone else” is on board with Concept X. Surprisingly (or maybe not), the veracity, even legality, of Concept X may not be all that important to how many and how fast people buy-in.
So when Concept A, B, C, D, E include elements like:
- Defund the police because they are killing unarmed black men - No justice, no peace (implies violent behavior is justified) - Politicians, Mayors, Police Chiefs are okay with riots, looting, killing all summer long - Inventing the concept of white supremacy to imply 100% inherent bias/discrimination by all whites - Telling blacks outright they are oppressed by whites and owed reparations - …
Then we have a situation where different ideas and thoughts are vectored in the same direction. This can lead to emotional distress, anxiety, and frustration. Then as a result, the potential energy, so to speak, of events like black-on-white crime increases. A 1-to-1 link of a specific event to the potential energy is hard to discern or prove, but data trends, such as crime rate increases, are good indicators.
For every one of these we see, there are many more we do not see.
I hope Biden can pull himself up above the fray and take the high road to try and reduce hostility. Uniting the people is a great goal, but we need an achievable goal at the moment...
