If Ohio St plays 4 games, should they be considered for CFP

This is a joke of a discussion, honestly. They would not meet threshold for B1G championship, of which they are now discussing changing just for OSU.
The B1G put their own teams in danger because of their stupid decision in August. They should reap the consequences...and fire their new commissioner.

6 is the minimum for the B1G championship. The CFP committee hasn’t set a minimum requirement for making the playoffs.
If I had to bet, I’d say OhSt doesn’t play this weekend and they end up playing against UM. Regardless, I would bet the CFP puts them in, to the anger of ACC and SEC fans.

I agree. Everybody talks about them being one of the top 4 teams and they probably are. The thing is, being champion should include having to manage the rigors of a season and keeping players healthy. I don't think Ohio State should be included regardless of the games they get in the next few weeks.

I don’t think so. Not fair to the teams that have played way more games.

No, they won’t. If Clemson and Bama win out, it’s Bama, Clemson, ND, and A&M.
Even Kirk said they shouldn’t be invited.

Harbaughs last revenge....If OhSt plays game #5 next weekend with game #6 scheduled for December 12th against Michigan...Jim Harbaugh cancels game and finally beats OhSt, thus keeping them out of playoffs...right before getting fired

Like the Bear said, if they do, then why play the season?

Simply skip to the playoffs.
No, no, no OSU should have to play more AND win the conf championship since even their full slate is low.

No way. I don't think they should be in if they play

5 either. Everyone assumes they would win any additional games, but that's why they are played. If they are allowed in with 4 or 5 wins, then we should just cancel the ACC Championship and let both Clemson and ND in now. No point in getting anyone hurt and having one team possibly knocked out of the playoff. I'm sure the Big 10 would understand.

They appear to be following the FSU model where you can't lose if you don't play. They know there are enough media lapdogs that will vote them into the playoffs even if they don't play again. Therefore, why bother risking a loss or injury?
