I know when the seats are in the outfield that's what green seats are for--a hitters eye backdrop, but they may just be green in the renderings, as this softball stadium appears to be a 2/3rds scale version of The Doug, essentially, and The Doug has orange seats all thoughout the infield.
I like the design a lot. I think it will come out looking great. It does suck that that displaces a lot of tailgaters, but they'll find places to move spots.

say goodbye to more motor home and jervey meadows parking -- it's way past time for a parking garage on campus near the stadium. There are plenty of people that don't tailagate a their spot that would opt-in/request that parking and reduce the strain elsewhere

Not sure if joking, but considering you can see Doug Kingsmore Stadium behind it, best bet would be behind the left/center fence of the baseball stadium

Unless they are higher than the ones over the dugout, or closer to the field, those seats down the right field line look like they will have bad sight lines to home plate. Maybe it's just the rendering and I'm missing something.
It's going to be nice to finally have softball at Clemson. Should've happened years ago imo

Yup, seems strange to have outfield seats along the line set back from the infield seats, unless you're just at the game to watch the bullpen (or is it called a cowpen for ladies softball?)

Who cares about softball and why are we spending money on it?

Softball is huge in SC and if you had a daughter who played you'd understand that. I myself prefer watching the softball college WS over the baseball WS... much more exciting... not even close! I love Tiger baseball and routinely attend and I think this will be a great compliment to the baseball program. Open your eyes and expand your horizons a little and if you haven't watched high level softball you need to check it out. These girls can ball!!!

Yeah South Carolina has some of the best softball players anywhere. This team is going to be ultra competitive within 3-5 years. From what I remember LSU's All-American pitcher (forget her name) was a Daniel HS grad and went to LSU because Clemson didn't have a softball program. This will be great for the university.

I remember playing intramurals with a girl who was offered a scholarship to pitch elsewhere (she was all-state in high school) but really wanted to be a Tiger, so she played IM sports instead. We would definitely be keeping kids like her for sure.

Carly Hoover was her name. DW Daniel grad. Played at Stanford for her freshman year (2014) and then left and transferred to LSU. Weirdly enough, John Rittman coached there through that season before being let go. Very strange coincidence.

This ought to be a recruitment help. Bet some of the color schemes will change. Pretty impressive.

Im guessing softball fields are too small for a hill type warning track like our baseball team has?
