I understood this to be a cooperative of small to midsize cable companies that negotiate as a group for their programming rights with the networks. This should be good news for everyone that is located in the more rural areas that still have small time cable operators.

In short... The outcry and demand for the ACC network has been heard by us at Disney Media distribution. We hear you loud and clear, so open up thy wallet and shut thy mouth, we are coming for you! ??

It looks to me like it's a cooperative for small cable suppliers. That way the little guys don't all have to negotiate individually with providers. I guess if you have a local provider for cable (not Comcast, ATT, Charter, etc.) then it means you have a much better chance of getting the ACCN.

Thanks guys. Wasn’t sure how to interpret. Not in a smaller market and not a cable subscriber so I guess this doesn’t affect me. Come on YouTubeTV ????

NCTC is a cable company, albeit much smaller, just like Charter/Spectrum. If you aren't a customer of theirs, it doesn't affect you.

Yes - this is why Northland Cable is getting ACCN

Northland Cable - serving parts of Oconee Co., Pickens Co (including Clemson) and I think a county or 2 in NW Georgia - WILL be carrying ACCN - as one TNET poster reported. My dad lived in Clemson & had Northland (I paid his bills for him). I had other relatives in Seneca & surrounding areas & they all had Northland. I remember, though, he got a notice in one bill saying Northland had been purchased by Charter. Don't think it affected the channel lineup much, as I recall. Also - would NOT mean that "Big Charter" in the rest of the state would necessarily add ACCN. Northland is still a member of "NCTC" (whatever) - a national group of small providers that negotiates as one.
