If Surtain and Goodrich go to LSU, then one can assume its because they have been recruited heavily by LSU and LSU has a history of putting DBs in the NFL, makes sense, I suppose.
If Ross goes to BAMA, no questions asked, hometown kid, Ridley's gone, Tua is the next Tom Brady, BAMA always wins.
If Gouriage goes to FL, makes sense, new coach, he was committed to them, in state kid and FL will be back in the very weak SEC East to contend with UGA.
If Hollifield goes to VATech instead of Clemson, then I dont get that. Clemson is better academically, positioned for another Natty run and they have put LBS (not a lot but some) in the pros. VATECH is not at our level and won't be for a while. Also, Joseph is gone after next year and if Tre Lamar has a breakout year, he will be as well (incredible physical speciman). If we lose Dax, it will only be becuase we pulled his offer initially.
I dont care about the Tucker GA kid. He is a one year player and would choose TN over Clemson? Seriously? Never liked dual sport kids in college anyway. If he's decent at Baseball, he will probably jump early.
Only kid that I see that doesnt make sense for us not to get would be Dax, that would be disappointing. The others I would completely understand.
How could you not understand the Hollifield move? We have been recruiting him for a week and they have been recruiting him for years. Also the fact that the GA native has only been playing for one year and is considered a ranked DB is quite impressive because he can only grow better and someone that raw, probably well get better VERY fast with our coaches.
